The power of art in wellbeing & exciting workshops ahead
Share
There's a lot of talk about the link between art and wellbeing, and for good reason.
Creativity has a way of helping us switch off from the daily grind, express emotions and bring a sense of calm. And, we've seen first-hand how artwork in a workspace can inspire, boost morale and even improve focus.
Art lifts the mind & spirit
It’s not just about what’s on the walls, getting hands-on with creativity is just as powerful. That’s why we’re excited to announce that we’ll be running a couple of art workshops in March for Candlelighters, a Yorkshire-based charity supporting families facing children's cancer.
Candlelighters do incredible work helping ordinary families navigate extraordinary circumstances. Through these workshops, we’ll be offering a chance for participants to explore different creative techniques in a relaxed, supportive environment, something we know can be uplifting and rewarding.
We’ll share more about how the workshops go in the coming months, but for now, we just wanted to highlight the power of creativity in bringing people together and supporting wellbeing.
Behind the scenes
And on the subject of creativity, we wanted to share a little behind-the-scenes insight into our latest work,a set of five pieces created for five friends. Maria Walsh, a previous client, got in touch with a special request. She and four friends were all celebrating a big birthday (I won’t say which one!), and she wanted something unique, five bespoke pieces that stood out on their own but also connected them all together.
No pressure, right?
Coming up with a design that felt personal to each of them while keeping a shared thread was a challenge, but that’s the beauty of bespoke art. It’s not just about looking good; it’s about telling a story, capturing a moment, and creating something truly meaningful. It was a fantastic project, and we loved seeing how art can connect people on a personal level.
There's never been a better time to get creative!
