Mike Hall - Founder & Artist
Connect with Mike on LinkedInMike Hall is the founder of MJH ArtStudio and has spent nearly 40 years working across marketing, design, illustration and business development. Yes, he really is that old.
Originally trained as a Technical Illustrator, Mike has worked with organisations ranging from SMEs to major national brands including BT, O2, Specsavers, JCB and Dell. Throughout his career he has helped businesses communicate visually, tell their stories and bring ideas to life.
MJH ArtStudio was created from a simple belief: the spaces we work in influence how we think, feel and perform. Too many workplaces are filled with generic artwork that could belong anywhere. Mike helps organisations create bespoke artwork that reflects their identity, reinforces their brand and gives people something worth talking about.
Alongside his artwork, Mike co-founded Create & Connect with Nicci Rushfirth, bringing creativity into workplaces through workshops, events and wellbeing initiatives. Mike brings creative thinking, commercial experience and a straightforward Northern approach to every project, along with the occasional terrible joke.

Nicci Rushfirth - Artist & Creative Partner
Connect with Nicci on LinkedInNicci Rushfirth brings experience in wellbeing, communication and helping people feel comfortable enough to contribute openly and honestly.
While Nicci leads the workshop and wellbeing side of Create & Connect, she also plays an important role within MJH ArtStudio. Her understanding of people, workplace culture and wellbeing helps ensure projects are designed with the people using the space in mind, not just the walls themselves.
After meeting Mike through a mutual connection, it quickly became obvious that their skills complemented each other naturally. What started as conversations around creativity and connection soon developed into workshops, events and the foundations of Create & Connect.
Nicci is also a practising artist, creating large-scale textured paintings that can be found in a range of corporate spaces. Her creative background brings an additional perspective to client projects, helping organisations create environments that feel welcoming, engaging and genuinely connected to the people who use them.
She brings warmth, energy and emotional intelligence to every project and workshop. Although, to be fair, she's usually halfway into the next creative idea before Mike has finished explaining the first one.
