Capturing the essence of British engineering

There's nothing like a challenge. And that's exactly what I got when Noel Johnson, CEO of Springfield Training, approached me with a unique challenge.

The task was to create an abstract art piece that celebrated the essence of British engineering while incorporating styles from the six smaller pieces I had previously created. Noel had a clear vision in his mind but found it difficult to visualize. My job was to bring that vision to life in a way that stayed true to my artistic style and resonated with his expectations.

The journey began with extensive research into the milestones and key figures in British engineering. From the Industrial Revolution to modern technological advancements, I needed to capture the spirit and innovation that defined this field. Experimentation and testing were crucial as I worked to develop a technique that would authentically represent British engineering. This iterative process ensured that the final artwork was both innovative and reflective of the engineering heritage.

Creating a corporate abstract art piece involves a meticulous process, designed to ensure client satisfaction at every stage. Our process includes thorough research, conceptual design, and multiple review stages where we seek client sign-off. This collaborative approach avoids any unexpected surprises and ensures the final piece aligns perfectly with the client's vision and brand identity.

The project was not just about creating a visually stunning piece of art, but also about telling a story. The history of engineering is a narrative of innovation, determination, and progress. By integrating key elements and symbols from various eras, the artwork serves as a tribute to the advancements and contributions in the field of engineering.

From the early days of steam engines and industrial machinery to the modern marvels of automotive engineering, each layer of the artwork represents a different chapter in engineering's history. It was truly inspiring to see how far we've come and the incredible strides made in advancing technology and improving lives.

This project, like all our commissions, follows a structured seven-step process. This includes initial consultations, research, conceptualisation, design drafts, client reviews, final adjustments, and the delivery of the completed artwork. Each step is crucial in ensuring that the end product not only meets but exceeds the client’s expectations.

Our commitment to involving the client at each stage of the process guarantees transparency and collaboration. This methodical approach allows us to create custom, brand-aligned abstract art that resonates with the client’s audience and enhances their workspace.

"Working with Mike from MJH ArtStudio Limited has been an exceptional experience. Mike's dedication and creative talent have transformed our offices and training space into an inspiring environment. We started with six smaller paintings that were fantastic, but the larger piece capturing the history of engineering truly blew us away.

Mike faced the challenge of turning my vague vision into a reality and he did so with incredible skill and patience. His ability to fuse historical engineering elements with his unique abstract style resulted in a piece that continually reveals new details and layers.

The engineering artwork has set a high standard, and we are excited for the next piece on healthcare. Mike's comprehensive process, from brainstorming to final delivery, ensured we were part of the journey and thrilled with the outcome at every stage. His knack for capturing the essence of our brand and industry through art is spot on.

I wholeheartedly recommend MJH ArtStudio to any business aiming to elevate their workspace with bespoke art. Mike's pieces are far more than mere decorations; they encapsulate our story and spark meaningful conversations among our team, learners and visitors."
