From branding to brushstrokes

Social Jems is a bold, no-nonsense social selling agency that helps businesses grow through LinkedIn. When founder Jem Bevan joined Mike for a one-to-one workshop, she wasn’t looking for a masterpiece — just a bit of time to switch off and try something new.

The challenge

Jem hadn’t picked up a paintbrush in years. Like a lot of us, life took over and the creative spark got buried. The idea of painting again felt daunting, even a bit daft. But she took the plunge and booked a session after meeting Mike at a networking event.

Our approach

Mike created a relaxed, judgement-free session focused on fun and self-expression. We agreed on Jem’s brand colours; bright yellow, orange, pink, green, and teal. And them it was music on, sleeves rolled up, and brushes flying. Jem definitely threw herself into it. There may even have been some wizard-level dance moves involved.

The result

Jem left the session feeling proud, peaceful, and reconnected with her creative side. Her finished piece now hangs on her office wall, a talking point for every Zoom call and a daily reminder of what she can do.
