Art of the matter - March 24
Share
It's now only just under two weeks until my ‘Freedom’ exhibition starts at Allendale Forge studios. Everything's coming together – but I have to admit there has a lot more to it than first anticipated! No pain, no gain as they say!
Having an exhibition isn't something that I've done before so I’m excited to see what happens!
And, it’s not just going to be originals available, I've developed a series of prints, cards, coasters and notebooks. And not only will they be available to buy at the exhibition, over the next few weeks, they'll be added to the website so you’ll be able to buy online too.
A quick reminder
We set-up the exhibition on Monday 1st April and it runs for the whole month, so plenty of time to take a trip up and see this stunning area in the North East. You can get all the details on the exhibition here along with when I’ll be there if you want to come and say hello.
What else is new?
We’ve been working closely with Andy Simpson of Fastsigns in Leeds to look at adding logos directly to canvas and then adding abstract art over the top – so from a brand perspective it's doing something a little different which will make a real eye catching piece of wall art. Videos to follow!
Our most recent piece
I’m delighted to share our latest commission which was done for Dee & Alan Lazenby from Lazenby’s Financial Services. This was slightly different request in that Dee & Alan wanted the ‘L’ element of their logo displaying in the piece.
You can read more about the story here. It was a pleasure to create this piece. Have a look at the video below and let me know what you think.
And finally...
I was delighted to be a guest on ‘The Creative Switch’ podcast. So if you want to know more about me and my story, grab a brew and have a listen here.
